Define: Informed Conscience: One that has done it’s best to learn and reflect about the morality of certain acts.

Situation:

Roger Smith, a quite competent swimmer, is out for a leisurely stroll. During the course of his walk he passes by a deserted pier from which a teenage boy who apparently cannot swim has fallen into the water. The boy is screaming for help. Smith recognizes that there is absolutely no danger to homself if he jumps in to save the boy; he could easily succed if he tried. Nevertheless, he chooses to ignore the boy’s cries. The water is cold and he is afraid of catching a cold – he doesn’t want to get his good clothes wet either. “Why should I inconvenience mself for this kid,” Smith says to himself, and passes on.

Question 1) Where are always two sides to a conscience. What would Roger’s conscience be telling him? One side would tell him to jump in and save the boy from drowning, the other would tell him to just walk away and protend it never happened. The easier way would be to walk away, but not really the right way.

Question 2) Think of an example of Jesus’ teaching and explain how his teaching can help us to make an appropriate decision. He tells us to be compationate of others, and choosing to save the boy would have been compationate.

Beatitudes for today

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth

Blessed are they who hunger the thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy

Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

Question 1) Describe the term ‘Interactive TV’

Able people to choose what they want to watch on TV, and when.

Question 2) Explain the reasons why Interactive TV is now called TV 2.0

Because it probably means that TV 1.0 is modern TV, unable to choose what you pick to watch.

Question 3) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV

Positives:

More TV popularity
Extra money for companies

Negatives:

People spending too much time on the TV

Question 4) Apple released recently Apple TV – take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed ot be changed

Question 1) Explain the purpose of using YouTube as a source of digital media advertising.

There are a lot of viewers on YouTube, if you post a video advertising something, with a popular and guessable title, you are likely to get a lot of views.

Question 2) Discuss how collaborative media sties such as YouTube, Myspace and Bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising, etc.

There are a lot of people who most footage of important events on a news channel to YouTube, and some time’s in a blog on Myspace and Bebo. Lots of company owners know that sites like YouTube, etc have high popularity, so they put videos so rememberable that could be used as YouTube material.

Question 3) Provide a link to an advertising commercial on YouTube.

Question 1) Define ‘digital media’

It means dolvering media through something electronic, for example, a computer.

Question 2) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years?

Now we can put on videos from cameras and upload them to the internet, 10 years ago, we would have to write out all the events that happened.

Question 3) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?

Because people don’t like the idea of reading, it’s too much for them so they want it simple.
